All staff employed by Homecare Plus have...

  • Carers hold a formal qualification and/or relevant experience caring for aged/disabled clients.

  • Satisfactory references

  • Current Police check

  • Current First Aid certificate (Care attendants)

  • Medical clearance

All staff employed by Homecare Plus must comply to a job check within the first few weeks of employment with the company.  Homecare Plus is keen to maintain a quality service and this gives your clients the opportunity to voice any concerns they may have about service delivery.

On orientation to Homecare Plus, all staff receive a copy of our policies.  These policies include occupational health and safety/manual handling, quality standards, staff code of conduct, emergency procedures and universal precautions etc.  Staff must read these policies on orientation and agree to the information contained in them prior to commencing.

Clare Irving (Director of Homecare Plus)
Homecare plus is a homecare agency located in Ballarat and services regional Victoria.

Firstly, I would like to tell you a bit about myself.  I am a registered nurse (Division one) with over 19 years experience in various nursing, administration roles in the health service industry.  I have spent time working in various hospitals throughout Victoria , mostly at Ballarat Health Services.  During this time I was employed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist on a surgical ward.  

After completing my employment at a major hospital, I was employed as a District Nurse in Ballarat. I was able to provide in home nursing care to a various range of clients. This involved me working closely with the client and I gained valuable experience and knowledge of what is required of staff providing in home care.  

In recent years I have been employed as Senior Victorian Co-ordinator for a Homecare Agency which operates in Ballarat.  This work has enabled me to gain further experience and knowledge of what homecare services are available in and around Ballarat, but more importantly, it has allowed me to see what agencies want in a service provider and the areas of Homecare that are currently lacking.
